The City of Friendswood Public Safety Building project, built for the City of Friendswood, included the renovation of the existing facility and the addition of a 27,390-square-foot building located in Friendswood, Texas. The additions house the Police Department, Fire Mashal, Emergency Management, and Municipal courts, and support a courtroom, court clerk space, jail cells, mechanical and electrical spaces, and a dispatch center. The project also featured administration offices, locker room spaces, and separate police and courts lobbies. Renovations included a secure lobby vestibule, reconfiguration in the Fire Marshal’s office, expansion of the Emergency Operations Center, and upgrades to the Criminal Investigations Division offices and restrooms. The project included repairs to secure perimeter wall and the existing mechanical systems. The site accommodates a public parking lot and a secure parking area for patrol cars and officer/staff personal vehicles. This project was constructed on a concrete foundation, a structural steel frame, a masonry and storefront window exterior, and a modified bitumen roof.
