The City of Phoenix Fire Station No. 62 project is a brand new facility on a nearly 60-acre site located on Lower Buckeye Road in Phoenix, AZ. Over six acres of this expansive site were developed as part of the project, including an extension of utilities to the site, and the incorporation of a 20-foot drainage channel and retention basin. The 20,816-square-foot, single-story station features three apparatus bays, 16 dormitories, a fitness room, and ample working and living space for first responders. Fire Station No. 62 was designed with superior environmental design principles to reduce energy consumption and promote water preservation. Constructed on concrete footings, the building’s envelope includes ICF and CMU walls, and a metal panel and foam roof. This impressive public safety structure is now fully operational and serving the community.
