The Bateman Physical Science Center F Wing houses Arizona State University’s Department of Physics, School of Earth and Space Exploration faculty members, and one of the world’s largest Foucault pendulums, which is used for measuring the rotation of the Earth. The project featured the addition of new offices, corner conference rooms, and collaboration spaces. Interior finishes throughout the wing were upgraded including new walls, metal wall paneling, and specialty ceilings. The F Wing’s servery was equipped with custom millwork and a coiling door, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were upgraded throughout. Additionally, all exterior windows were replaced, and eight new windows were cut in on the north side of the building to allow for more natural light. All work was safely completed on the university’s active Tempe, AZ campus, which boasts an enrollment of nearly 75,000 students.
