The Eastmark High School project, built for Queen Creek Unified School District, included the new construction of a 153,111-square-foot high school campus located in Mesa, AZ. The new campus houses three separate buildings consisting of a two-story classroom building for a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) academy, a health and human services academy, a business academy, and a fine arts academy. The school also features a multipurpose building with administrative offices, a lecture room, a cafeteria, a gymnasium, two parking lots, outdoor basketball courts, athletic fields for baseball, softball, and football, and bleacher seating at all fields. The high school was constructed on a concrete foundation supported by footings and masonry stem walls with a structural frame comprised of concrete masonry unit block and steel. An exterior finish insulation system covered with painted concrete masonry unit block, insulated light transmitting panels, and metal panels, and a PVC roof completed the construction. The Eastmark High School project met the district’s goal of creating a twenty-first century learning environment for students enrolled in ninth through 12th grade in the southwest Eastmark community.
