The Coding Academy project, built for Phoenix Union High School District No. 210, included the new construction of a 41,000-square-foot high school located in Phoenix, AZ. The facility functions as a learning environment focused on engineering, computer coding, and informational technology networking for 400 students in ninth through 12th grade. The project features a glass curtain wall, full service kitchen, a solar parking structure, and a multipurpose room. This project achieved LEED Gold Certification for from the U.S. Green Building Council for energy management, water efficiency, indoor air quality, and innovation in design concepts. The high school was constructed on a concrete footings and concrete modular unit block stem foundation with a steel structural frame, an exterior consisting of masonry, exterior insulation and finish system, and glass with a built-up asphalt and modified bituminous roof. The Coding Academy now provides an interactive environment for students to learn about technological innovation and advancement.
