The 19th Judicial District Courthouse project, built for the State of Louisiana, included the new construction of an 11-story, 350,000-square-foot municipal complex located in Baton Rouge, LA. The facility houses 27 civil and family courtrooms, judge’s chambers, administrative staff and clerk of court offices, a jury room, drug lab, and detention and holding cells. The complex was constructed with a structural steel frame and concrete slab on metal deck floors, and features an exterior glass curtian wall, architectural pre-cast concrete, and metal frame windows. The 19th Judicial District Courthouse now provides a secure environment for the circulation of judicial officers, citizens, and detainees, enabling the dignified administration of justice in the Parish of East Baton Rouge.
