The Louisiana State University (LSU) Human Development Center project included the new construction of a four-story, 115,083-square-foot educational building located on the University’s campus in New Orleans, LA. The facility houses the University’s centers of excellence in developmental disabilities, education and research, as well as the service department for the campus health sciences complex. The facility features state-of-the-art medical offices, a library, and laboratories, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. The educational building was constructed on a slab-on-grade concrete foundation with a concrete structural frame, precast and curtainwall exterior, and lightweight insulating roof. The LSU Human Development Center now provides collegiate interdisciplinary education, research, and community services to downtown New Orleans.
