The Lusher High School Refurbishment project, completed for the Orleans Parish School Board, involved 160,600 square feet of extensive renovations to the existing school campus in New Orleans, LA. The project included a replacement of the existing SBS roof, the restoration and re-glazing of wood and steel windows, a replacement of the first and second floor exterior doors, the installation of new HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems, the installation of a new subsurface drainage system, exterior masonry restoration, and the construction of two new canopy structures. As a result of thorough project planning, comprehensive construction scheduling, coordination with the client, and utilization of temporary classroom trailers, the historic school remained in operation throughout the construction process. The Lusher High School Refurbishment project won the ENR Award of Merit for Renovation and Restoration upon completion.
