The Lantana Hall project, completed for Capstone Development Partners LLC and Arizona State University, included the new construction of a four-story, 113,821-square-foot dormitory on the university’s campus in Mesa, AZ. The 179-unit dormitory features state-of-the-art MEP systems and amenity spaces including lounges, classrooms, and a courtyard. The project also included tenant improvements for Barrett The Honor College, which CORE performed concurrent with the new dormitory. These renovations consisted of the implementation of ASU-standard audio-visual systems in two classrooms, and the modernization of 10 faculty offices, public restrooms, a break room, conference room, computer lab, student lounge area, and utility support spaces including an Independent Distribution Frame (IDF) room. The Lantana Hall project received LEED Platinum Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainable building products, water efficiency, enhanced energy performance, and diversion of waste materials. The facility was constructed of a post-tension and conventional slab-on-grade foundation, a podium concrete and wood frame structural frame, and a spray foam roof. The Lantana Hall project integrates spaces for living, studying, learning, collaborating and recreation together, and supports the goal of creating a lasting connection between Arizona State University and the local Mesa community.
