The Pleasant Plains High School Addition project, built for the Pleasant Plains Community Unit School District No. 8, included the addition of a 23,500 square foot classroom building located in Pleasant Plains, IL. The facility supports approximately 458 students in grades nine through 12. The addition was constructed of a precast structural frame with a brick exterior. The project also features a new kitchen, cafeteria, and gymnasium with a weight room to replace an outdated kitchen and undersized cafeteria and gymnasium as well as an auditorium style stage on the north side of the building, a new entrance, and computer room. The installation of an energy efficient geothermal heating and cooling system completed the project. The Pleasant Plains High School project addition helps to alleviate school overcrowding in an updated facility.
