The Elkhart High School Area Career Center Addition and Renovation project involves a significant addition to the high school located in Elkhart, IN. The project, completed for Elkhart Community School District, includes the construction of a single-story, 11,822-square-foot addition. The addition is was constructedn on a concrete footings foundation with a cold formed metal structural frame, a masonry exterior, and a single-ply roof. The addition houses five new classrooms, a large common area, kitchenette, and garage. The project also involved interior renovations to existing space, with the WVPE Radio Station, which operates out of the facility 24/7, being relocated, and the current space being converted into new laboratory and classroom space.
