The Mill Run Fire Station project, currently under construction for the City of Kissimmee, is a new one-story, hurricane-hardened fire station designed to strengthen the City’s emergency response capabilities in Kissimmee, FL. The station features load-bearing masonry construction with structural steel framing, open-web steel joists, a metal deck, CMU walls, and a steel roof with a TPO roofing system to provide long-term durability and resilience. The facility includes an apparatus bay, mezzanine, and a Police Department satellite office, creating a multi-agency public safety hub that enhances operational efficiency and coordinated emergency response. Designed as critical infrastructure, the station is built to withstand extreme weather events while providing a reliable, resilient facility that will serve the community’s public safety needs for decades to come.
