The Fort Pierce Westwood High School Replacement project included the phased construction of a new 250,000-square-foot campus for the School Board of St. Lucie County in Fort Pierce, FL. This modern campus features three main buildings, including a two-story administration building with classrooms and offices, a media center equipped with the latest technology, and a building dedicated to academic labs, special education with OT/PT therapy rooms, career and technical education, and various medical and biomedical labs. Additionally, the campus houses an auditorium, visual and performing arts spaces, and sound and recording studios. The campus also includes a gymnasium with lockers, bleachers, and canopies, a cafeteria with food service facilities, mechanical rooms and mezzanines, a chiller plant, and enhanced security features. A large parking lot accommodates approximately 800 vehicles, ensuring smooth traffic flow with designated areas for parent and bus drop-offs. Outdoor amenities include sports fields and courts for baseball, softball, practice fields, tennis, and basketball. This state-of-the-art campus serves 2,000 students and equips them with the skills and knowledge to become future contributing members of the community.
