The Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse project, built for the Colorado River Union High School District, included the new construction of a 125,000-square-foot multipurpose athletic venue located adjacent to the bridge linking Bullhead City, AZ and Laughlin, NV. The facility functions as the home-site of River Valley and Mohave High Schools’ major athletic events in a climate controlled atmosphere and houses career training education (CTE) vocational classes for students, athletes, and the community. The multipurpose athletic venue features regulation football and soccer fields with safety-friendly cushioned artificial turf, an industrial kitchen for the school district’s award winning culinary arts program, an interlocking floor for basketball and volleyball courts, permanent bleacher-style seating for 5,000 people with the capability of adding 3,000 floor seats, and permanent parking for 1,000 vehicles. Due to CORE’s project management coordination and scheduling during preconstruction, disruptions to the nearby shopping center and Rio Lomas neighborhood were successfully minimized during construction.
