The Mesquite Library project, built for the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, included the new construction of a 13,313-square-foot library campus located in Mesquite, NV. The facility functions as a community hub for learning, gathering, and job creation. The project incorporated the original library into the new campus as a learning center offering one-stop services for the community. The project features an art gallery showcasing artists from Nevada, a café with a drive-through, a homework help center, and public meeting rooms. This project received LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for energy-efficient and sustainable features. The campus was constructed on a concrete foundation reinforced by stem walls with a frame of masonry walls with steel joists and deck. An exterior consisting of insulated masonry, storefront, metal panels, and a single-ply roof completed the construction. Mesquite Library now provides a space for economic, social, and educational connections for the Mesquite community.
