The OSF HealthCare Comprehensive Cancer Institute project, located in Peoria, IL, included the new construction of a six-story, 215,000-square-foot cancer treatment facility and parking structure. The Institute features advanced medical technology, including a concrete vault housing a Varian ProBeam Proton Therapy System with a Superconducting Cyclotron particle accelerator, beam transport system, 360-degree rotating gantry, and a custom-designed patient treatment room. In addition to state-of-the-art proton therapy, the facility includes dedicated areas for patient examination, consultation, and administrative functions, offering a holistic and centralized approach to cancer care.
