The Hopedale Medical Complex project, built for Hopedale Hospital, included the addition and renovation of a 40,000 square foot hospital expansion located in Hopedale, IL. The facility houses an emergency room department, inpatient rooms, helipad, outpatient surgery, conference room, and intensive care unit and supports approximately 317 employees. The hospital was constructed on a foundation consisting of cast-in-place concrete footings and grade beams with a steel structural frame. An exterior of metal panels and a roof of synthetic ethylene propylene diene terpolymer rubber completed the construction. The project also featured indoor renovations, asbestos removal, and upgrading the hospitals’ infrastructure as well as an electronic medical record, upgraded security system, and nurse’s call system. Due to CORE’s proactive project management and planning, the Hopedale Medical Complex was completed with minimal disruption to hospital patient and staff operations.
