The City of Duncanville Fire Station No. 1 project involved the construction of a new two-story, 16,664-square-foot facility to serve the community of Duncanville, TX. The station features three-and-a-half bays, bunk rooms, a large command center, and all of the amenities needed for first responder comfort and emergency response efficiency. The station also features a mezzanine designed to support future expansion, as well as an ICC500-14 certified storm shelter. Existing structures were demolished and abated to make way for the new station, and the site was developed to include both visitor parking and a secured parking lot. The new station supports the Duncanville community’s safety and well-being while employing the latest practices for fire rescue operations and occupational health.
