The City of Garland Central Library Modernization project, located in Garland, TX, included the interior and exterior modernization of approximately 60,000 square feet between the upper and lower libarary floors. The improvements include life safety and electrical upgrades, along with several enhanced interior amenities such as a new children’s area with a slide, a grand staircase, a new circulation desk, two multipurpose rooms with upgraded technology, a makerspace room, and an audiovisual space. The exterior façade has also been refreshed, with the main entrance relocated and colorful art louvers installed around the full perimeter of the building.
