The Washoe County Training Center Addition project, currently in construction for the State Public Works Division, includes the construction of a new 59,900-square-foot addition to the existing training center in Stead, NV. The addition includes multiple arms vaults, storage units, supply offices, a large locker room, offices, an auditorium, and a physical fitness area. Remodels will also be made to the kitchen, restrooms, classrooms, and storage areas. The project involves various sitework improvements, and will be constructed on load-bearing CMU, steel framed roof system, cast-in-place concrete vaults with a single-ply membrane roof system, metal cladding panels, decorative metal fabrications, sectional overhead doors, and aluminum glass and glazing systems. Upon completion, the Washoe County Training Center Addition is expected to meet USGBC LEED Silver requirements.
