The Moapa Valley High School Gymnasium Addition project, built for the Clark County School District, included selective demolition and renovations to existing education buildings, and new additions to the athletic facility on the 26,676-square-foot campus located in Overton, NV. Construction included a new school-wide fire alarm system, security integration, clock-intercom systems; and a new weight room, bathrooms, and concessions area at the gymnasium. Site work consisted of demolition and reconstruction of the existing football field and the construction of a running track with blue ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber surfacing. The athletic facility was constructed of a spread footing foundation and a concrete masonry unit and a steel truss structural foundation. An exterior of a concrete masonry unit and a roof of single-ply membrane completed the construction.
