The Nevada State College Academic and Student Services Building project included the new construction of a two-story, 42,487-square-foot academic facility located in Henderson, NV. The building supports faculty offices, science laboratories, and classrooms. The project features SMART technologies within the classrooms allowing faculty the use of a wide array of audiovisual tools. Construction consisted of structural concrete masonry unit and aesthetic concrete masonry unit, and the project was awarded the Southwest Contractor Award for Best Masonry project upon completion. Due to CORE’s collaboration with the architect during preconstruction and seamless construction execution, the spatial arrangement of interior rooms and common spaces fulfills the client’s goal of creating a campus within the building.
