The Historic Boise Depot Rehabilitation Project is a multi-phase effort to preserve and extend the life of one of Boise’s key landmarks by systematically refacing the existing stucco system and rebuilding underlying infrastructure as needed from east to west. Work will include careful removal, repair, and replacement of the stucco assembly and related envelope components, along with targeted structural and utility improvements that meet current standards while matching the depot’s historic materials, profiles, and finishes. Construction will be sequenced to maintain weather protection, life safety, and clear public access, keeping the site open for visitors and events as much as possible, and all decisions will be guided by close coordination with the owner, design team, and historic preservation stakeholders to ensure the depot remains a functioning, visible, and respected historic monument for years to come
