The University of Arizona Food Product Safety Lab project involved a renovation and expansion on the university’s agricultural and life sciences campus in Tucson, AZ. The project included extensive interior and exterior upgrades to 14,022 square feet, site work, a new fire lane, and a 6,117-square-foot addition to enhance the facility’s functionality. Improvements encompassed upgrades to meat processing equipment, freezers, the carcass rail system, lighting, and workspace layout. Close collaboration with the Design Team, carcass rail contractor, steel contractor, and cooler/freezer contractor ensured proper installation and seamless integration of new systems. Now complete, the lab serves as a state-of-the-art research and teaching facility.
