The Maricopa County District 3 Substation Addition and Renovation project, completed for Maricopa County, included a 12,000-square-foot renovation and a 12,000-square-foot addition to the existing District 3 Substation for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. The addition houses office areas with conference rooms, break rooms, a fitness room with restrooms/showers/locker rooms, a sallyport, new holding cells and hard interview rooms, evidence processing, vehicle inspection bay, armory, K-9 room, briefing rooms, report writing room, and more. CORE made significant efforts to close off and protect the existing radio room and communication tower on-site so that the federal communication line, located in the middle of the construction and additions area, remained active and functional throughout the duration of the project. The Maricopa County District 3 Substation Addition and Renovation project provides a modern facility that brings the dated facility back to full functionality as a Substation.
