The Arizona State University Lantana Hall project included the new construction of a four-story, 113,821-square-foot dormitory on the University’s campus in Mesa, AZ. The 179-unit dormitory features state-of-the-art mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems and amenity spaces including lounges, classrooms, and a courtyard. The project also included tenant improvements for Barrett The Honors College, which CORE performed concurrently with the new dormitory. These renovations consisted of the implementation of ASU-standard audio-visual systems in two classrooms, and the modernization of 10 faculty offices, public restrooms, a break room, conference room, computer laboratory, student lounge area, and utility support spaces including an Independent Distribution Frame room. The ASU Lantana Hall project received LEED Platinum Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainable building products, water efficiency, enhanced energy performance, and diversion of waste materials. The facility was constructed of a post-tension and conventional slab-on-grade foundation, a podium concrete and wood frame structural frame, and a spray foam roof. The ASU Lantana Hall project integrates spaces for living, studying, learning, collaborating and recreation together, and supports the goal of creating a lasting connection between ASU and the local Mesa community.
