The Hopi Elementary School Rebuild project, built for Scottsdale Unified School District, included the demolition of the original school campus, built in 1961, and the new construction of a 79,985-square-foot elementary school located in Scottsdale, AZ. The facility functions as an educational institution consisting of a classroom building, administration building, and gymnasium for over 760 students enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school also features new athletic fields, outdoor basketball courts, and playground equipment. Construction included a new foundation of concrete footings and stem walls with a structural frame of steel columns, beams, and steel joists. An exterior insulation finish system with Hardie paneling on the exterior sides, and a single-ply membrane roof completed the construction. The Hopi Elementary School Rebuild project alleviated school overcrowding in a fully modernized, consolidated school campus.
