The DeWitt Perry Middle School project included major renovations to the existing 188,930-square-foot building in Carrollton, TX, consisting of 22,000 square feet of structural demolition, 30,000 square feet of new construction, 178,500 square feet of renovations, as well as building system upgrades and site and athletic improvements. The project featured upgrades to fine arts classroom walls, ceiling treatments and Sound Transmission Class (STC)-Rated door openings, the complete reconfiguration of the administrative and library areas, and the renovation of classroom spaces to create grade-level pods. Also included was the complete demolition and reconstruction of the building’s main entryway, minor landscape additions, sports program upgrades including a brand-new athletic track and football field, and the replacement of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) and technology systems. Construction consisted of a concrete footings foundation with structural steel frames, masonry exterior, and single-ply roofing. This comprehensive renovation provides students and staff with a dynamic and engaging environment that supports success at every level.
