The Deltona Middle School Renovation project, built for the School Board of Volusia County, included the demolition, renovation, and new build of an approximately 204,108-square-foot facility located in Deltona, FL. The Master Plan project consisted of a new multi-level main building, the renovation of building two, and the demolition of the existing campus buildings. The general construction of the new building featured a cafetorium, laboratories, a media center, three-story classroom buildings, and a gymnasium. An existing building was renovated that serves as the new administration building, and a stand-alone pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) that serves as the new central energy plant. The existing campus remained fully operational during the construction of the new buildings. This project was built on a concrete foundation supported by footings and driven piles, a structural steel frame, and a single-ply roof.
