The Elko Conference Center project, built for Government Facilities Development Services, included the new construction of a 28,500-square-foot municipal conference center. The facility sits adjacent to the Elko Convention Center and Visitor’s Authority and houses four meeting rooms and a large exhibit area for over 800 people. The project features a spacious lobby area for luncheons, a ballroom with folding walls for subdividing into three large rooms and four smaller rooms, four folding classrooms to seat 30 people, and restrooms. The municipal conference center was constructed of a slab-on-grade foundation with a steel and masonry frame, a stucco, painted masonry and glass exterior, and a single-ply roof. The facility also features earth tone carpeting, storefront windows, and brick pavers at three entrances. The Elko Conference Center now provides a flexible venue for mine training, local events, and weddings.
