The Truckee Meadows Fire Station No. 14 project, built for Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, included the new construction of a 10,662-square-foot fire station located in Reno, NV. The facility houses three double-deep apparatus bays, two offices, and dormitories for five firefighters. The project features a kitchen, dining room, and fitness center. The fire station was constructed on a concrete slab-on-grade foundation with a concrete masonry unit block structural frame, a metal siding and concrete masonry unit exterior, and a membrane and metal roof. Truckee Meadows Fire Station No. 14 was built adjacent to an active school campus. The CORE team coordinated closely with the school district to maintain bus and student drop-off/pick up routes, and the project was completed with no disruptions to the school’s operations.
