The Hal Smith Elementary School Classroom Addition project, built for Clark County School District, included renovations as well as a 31,000-square-foot classroom addition to the elementary school’s active campus located in Las Vegas, NV. The facility supports 22 classrooms for kindergarten, special education, and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs. The project also featured the integration a low voltage and informational network system to informationally connect the building addition with the existing school. The classroom addition was constructed on a slab-on-grade concrete foundation with a steel and concrete masonry unit block structural frame, a concrete masonry unit block exterior, and a membrane roof. Hal Smith Elementary School now provides an increased capacity for a growing district in a state-of-the-art learning facility.
