The Clyde Cox Elementary School Classroom Addition project, built for Clark County School District, included renovations as well as a 31,000-square-foot classroom addition to the elementary school’s active campus located in Las Vegas, NV. The facility houses 22 classrooms for kindergarten, special education, and science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) curriculums. The project also featured a low voltage and informational network system for informational connectivity between the building addition and the existing school. The classroom addition was constructed on a slab-on-grade concrete foundation with a steel and concrete masonry unit block structural frame, a concrete masonry unit block exterior, and a membrane roof. The Clyde Cox Elementary School Classroom Addition now provides ample space for the growing school and district in a modern facility.
