The White Pine County School District Facility Improvements project included renovations at three school campuses, White Pines High School, Lund Elementary School, and D. E. Norman Elementary School, each located in Ely, NV. The high school renovations included track, drainage, and sidewalk repairs, and the new construction of a 9,651-square-foot gymnasium annex and 5,000-square-foot health occupations addition. The renovations at Lund Elementary School included piping and the installation of a new heater, water tank, and fire pumps. The exterior renovations at D. E. Norman Elementary School included new windows and siding. The high school gymnasium annex and health occupations additions were constructed of concrete foundations with concrete masonry unit block stems, a concrete masonry unit and steel joists structure, and an exterior of concrete masonry unit and metal panels. Due to CORE’s superior construction management and coordination, the White Pine County School District Facility Improvements were completed simultaneously on active campuses with minimal disruption to school operations.
