The Battle Mountain General Hospital, Phase 2 project, built for the Lander County Hospital District, included demolition, renovations, and new additions to the hospital campus located in Battle Mountain, NV. The project involved the demolition and replacement of the hospital’s central plant, and the relocation of the fire pump room, main gas service, oxygen rack, and site utilities. The project also included the addition of a 56,141-square-foot medical building which houses a long-term care wing, a kitchen, a dining room, a laundry room, and medical offices. The hospital building addition was constructed on spread footings and a crawl space foundation with a conventional structural steel frame. An exterior comprised of stucco, masonry veneer, and storefront and a single-ply roof completed the construction.
