The Howard Health Sciences Building A project, completed for the College of Southern Nevada, included various renovations and additions to the two-story, 25,990-square-foot health education building located on the college’s Charleston Campus in Las Vegas, NV. The facility, which contains multiple instructional classrooms and laboratories, houses the department of dental sciences, diagnostic evaluation and rehabilitation services, and supports the ophthalmic, physical therapy, and dental programs provided by the college and Mojave Mental Health Services. The educational building was constructed on a slab-on-grade concrete foundation with a steel and masonry frame. An exterior finish consisting of masonry block, storefront, and metal panels with a 60-millimeter single-ply roof completed the construction. The Howard Health Sciences Building A project was completed with minimal interference to student instruction on the active college campus.
