The Dorothy Lemelson STEM Academy, Phase II project, built for the Washoe County School District, included the new construction of a 7,545-square-foot multipurpose building and a 1,904-square-foot classroom addition to the elementary school campus located in Reno, NV. The facility supports 403 students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. The project featured two paved parking lots for faculty and students and the installation of new windows, flooring, and doors throughout the campus. The multipurpose building and classroom addition were constructed on foundations of slab-on-grade concrete with wood structural frames, exteriors of concrete masonry unit block walls, and asphalt shingle roofs.
