The Innovation High School project for Orange County Public Schools involved constructing a 371,053-square-foot state-of-the-art educational campus in Orlando, FL, designed to be a hub for modern education. The three-story main building includes classrooms, administrative offices, and a cafeteria, all connected to the auditorium and gym via concrete canopies and walkways. The campus also features a football stadium with a track, baseball and softball fields, and field houses. Site work included mass grading of the 61.5-acre site and importing 400,000 cubic yards of fill, along with off-site improvements such as wetland protection, greenhouse construction, and a new traffic signal at a nearby intersection. With its emphasis on open, flexible spaces, Innovation High School is a dynamic response to the modern student population, designed to enhance traditional education through new tools, strategies, and understanding of individual student potential.
