The Lulav Square project, built for Lulav Square Apartments, LP., included the renovation of four three-story senior apartment buildings located in Miami Beach, FL. The facility houses 140 units and totals 64,098 square feet. The senior apartment building was constructed on the existing concrete foundation with a wood frame. A terra cotta block with plaster exterior and thermoplastic polyolefin, single ply reflective roof completed the construction. The project also featured replacement of electrical and plumbing systems, installation of mini-split air conditioning units, reroofing, replacement of windows and metal railings with concrete balustrades, and repairing and painting of exteriors. Other features consisted of a new manager’s office, laundry facility, internet and computer room, and library. Due to CORE’s historic renovation and restoration efforts, the Lulav Square project continually provides affordable living to low income seniors in the community.
