The CoxHealth Emergency Department project, built as a Joint Venture with Beck Group, included the new construction of a 78,000-square-foot emergency room addition to the existing hospital located in Springfield, MO. The facility houses 62 beds, rooms dedicated to pediatrics and adult trauma care, critical care rooms, two psychiatric safe rooms, and a full radiology suite. The project also features advanced imaging, laboratory services, and state-of-the-art disaster management facilities in addition to a dedicated pharmacy, a monitored cardiac observation unit, and an emergency ambulatory entrance. The addition was constructed utilizing a structural steel frame, an exterior of metal panels, metal veneer, and curtain walls, and a modified bituminous standing seam roof. The CoxHealth Emergency Department project provides an expanded facility for advanced on-site critical medical services and shorter wait times to the community.
