The Arts District Garage project involved the new construction of a 1,700-space parking structure in downtown Kansas City, MO. The garage was constructed as an underground, four-story, cast-in-place concrete parking structure with post-tensioned concrete parking surfaces. The garage features a green roof system which was integrated into the structure with post-tensioned concrete with foam, engineered landscaping, and a water capturing system for irrigation. The Arts District Garage also features a Class A concrete finish with curtainwall, skylights, storefronts, and a canopy. This facility addresses the parking needs of the bustling downtown area and sets a benchmark for sustainable and visually striking urban infrastructure.
