The Xie Lab Fit-up project included interior renovations in the Lower Level (L1) of Bateman PSD for fit-up of Optical Bays D72 and D72A for Optical Bay Laboratory Research. Due to laser use, Laser Interlock systems were built in to both Optical Bay entries. The project also included renovations to the Wet Chemistry Bay D75 with minor additions of electrical power to accommodate research equipment. Modifications to fire alarm and fire protection were required due to added walls in D72 and D72A.
