The City of Scottsdale Fire Safety Training Facility project involved the demolition of an existing public safety campus and the new construction of a two-story, 32,015-square-foot, state-of-the-art training facility in Scottsdale, AZ. The facility includes offices, restrooms, a fitness and wellness area, locker rooms, conference rooms, an expansive auditorium, and an elevator. A turnout room is connected to the apparatus bay for gear decontamination, supporting first responder health and safety. Additional features include a covered outdoor training yard and patio, with site work encompassing new hardscape, utility connections, trench drains, a retention basin, and foundations for future fire training structures. Constructed on a cast-in-place foundation with a structural steel frame, the facility showcases masonry and EIFS finishes with a single-ply roofing system. Completed as part of a comprehensive Public Safety Training Facility, it supports fire and police emergency response services for over 200,000 Scottsdale residents, reflecting the City’s dedication to equipping its first responders with advanced resources.
