The Schnepf Elementary School No. 9 project, built for Queen Creek Unified School District, included the new construction of a two-story, 69,425-square-foot campus in Queen Creek, AZ. The campus featured a classroom building housing kindergarten through sixth grade, a smart laboratory/science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) area, a multipurpose building with administrative offices, and a cafeteria/gymnasium combination space with a stage and music rooms. The project also featured two parking lots to separate parent drop-off and bus traffic, three playground areas, and a large grass and hardscape courtyard area. The elementary school was constructed on a concrete foundation supported by footings with a structural frame comprised of concrete masonry unit block and steel, an exterior comprised of masonry and metal panels, and a single-ply roof.
