The Goodyear Fire Station No. 186 project involved the construction
of a new 13,895-square-foot facility located in Goodyear, AZ. The
fire station features two bays and a training tower built on a slab-on-grade foundation. The building features a structural frame of integrally colored concrete masonry units, steel, and metal studs, with an exterior insulation finishing system and masonry veneer, topped by a roofing system of TPO single-ply membrane and standing seam metal roofing. This project prioritized the health of first responders by including decontamination rooms, transition zones, and CleanPSB principles, which help minimize contaminants in the living quarters. The City of Goodyear Fire Station No. 186 project now provides a clean, safe home for the first responders of the Estrella Mountain Ranch community.
