The Pima Elementary School Rebuild project, built for Scottsdale Unified School District, included the demolition of the original school campus, built in 1959, and the new construction of a 72,000-square-foot elementary school located in Scottsdale, AZ. The campus supports a classroom building, administration building, and a gymnasium for 700 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. The school also features a library, athletic fields, outdoor basketball courts, and playground equipment. The new construction included a concrete footings foundation supported by stem walls, a metal structural frame and concrete masonry unit walls, an exterior insulation finish system covered with brick veneer, and a single-ply membrane roof. The Pima Elementary School Rebuild project has successfully met the district’s goal of offering a more traditional learning environment to students in a fully modernized and expanded school facility.
