The Fire Station #6 Remodel project, completed for the City of Boise, included renovating the existing 8,253-square-foot main building. Renovations included converting a multi-bed dormitory room and bathroom into three new single-use dorm rooms and two new single-use bathrooms. This project also included expanding the fitness area, updating millwork in the kitchen, new HVAC equipment and LED lighting throughout the facility. Also included was a new 497-square-foot addition to the existing building off of the apparatus bay which provides accessory spaces for decontamination, turn-out, and shop room areas. The new addition also features a new NFPA 13 automatic fire sprinkler system with the riser room.
