The C.W. Worthington Middle School project, built for Northwest Independent School District, included the new construction of a 220,980-square-foot, two-story middle school located in Haslet, TX. The new campus features a variety of athletic amenities, including a football field, running track, tennis courts, field event spaces, and a concessions building. The campus also includes a main gymnasium, cafeteria, classrooms, fine arts space, and an ICC 500-certified storm shelter which doubles as a practice gymnasium. The central library is the main focal point of the new academic building. Dressed with state-of-the-art technology and flexible furniture, the space is designed to holistically blend group learning and private study, and to support large student gatherings. The new campus was built upon a concrete foundation and features a structural steel frame, a masonry exterior, and a built-up roof.
