The Abilene Christian University Wessel Hall project was the second in a series of four residence hall projects on the university’s campus in Abilene, TX. This project entailed the demolition of the existing Gardner Hall building on the active campus, and the construction of the new 92,660-square-foot Wessel Hall. The new residence hall boasts 186 units with 357 beds. It also offers students a variety of amenities including a kitchen, patio and grill, lobby/gameroom, laundry room, study areas, and a mutipurpose room which doubles as a classroom. Wessel Hall was constructed upon concrete footings and features a structural steel frame, masonry exterior, and a single-ply and metal panel roof.
