The Andy Brown Park East and West project, built for the City of Coppell, included extensive demolition and renovations of the 60-acre municipal park, as well as additions to the existing campus located in Coppell, TX. The facility supports two park areas, East and West, and supports athletic fields, playgrounds, and event venues for public use. The project features a four-plex baseball complex, 13 soccer fields, a playground, basketball pavilion, and hiking trails. Additionally, the park hosts a scenic channel connecting two bodies of water, three event pavilions, and a boardwalk overlook. The park addition was constructed on a foundation of slab-on-grade concrete with structural sides and a steel and concrete masonry unit block structural frame. A brick exterior with a shingle roof completed the construction. Due to CORE’s project management coordination, the Andy Brown Park East and West project was completed while the hiking and park trails in the West area remained open with minimal disruption to park operations.
